No the sources are Semi Accurate, Eurogamer, LPVG, Wall Street Journal, and IGN/Peer Schnedier. Peer in particular I take his word for because I've been following Nintendo online since 1996, and he's been covering Nintendo online since then. He knows his shit and he said they verified the hybrid thing with multiple sources.

Nintendo is on record as recently as a year ago saying hardware power doesn't matter either, they wouldn't be saying that if they were making some decently high end piece of kit.

No the source is EG with others bandwagoning on it, if the is no Tegra any person pushing the rumour will look silly and for the record WSJ also reported news on NX being more powerful than PS4 previously as well which calls into question several things.

No Nintendo said that power shouldn't be the main focus in driving gaming they didn't say it doesn't matter that is a typical argument taking things out of context, they will still use powerful hardware if it is financially viable it just won't be the main focal point of their platforms.

Actually Semi Accurate reported Nvidia before Eurogamer did. And again Peer at IGN said they cross verified the hybrid thing with their *own* sources. How many times does that need to be repeated. It's not just Eurogamer reporting this. If sites are just piggy backing off random NX rumors, then also tell me why this one? There are 204949484 other rumors they could report, but IGN/Wall Street Journal/LPVG/Semi Accurate are only reporting this leak.

Find me one quote where Nintendo says they're interested in using high end chipsets. One. I doubt very much you can even find one quote that speaks to any change in philosophy.

Well I want to know why you think what amounts to a handheld is going to have the processing power of a device that costs $400, is many times larger, and doesn't run on batteries, and it still be "finanically viable"

It's so portable. You can barely notice it (not to mention the battery to power this thing would need to be about the same size as the system, lol).

It's not a handheld simple as that recent rumours say it's just a console with a more capable gamepad device, this would explain why it can have those specs as the portable device is not meant to play games on its own.

What makes you think this? I mean it's pretty clear that the main controller/tablet that you can take with you on the go is the heart and soul of this device, and that you can dock it to your television if you so choose. That makes it a console in my eyes.

But furthermore, what makes you think that Nintendo can execute such a concept, with the same power as the PS4 for the same price as the PS4. It's obvious that the main controller/tablet will cost significantly more than the dualshock 4, which means Nintendo has less money to play with in terms of base unit power in order to hit a competitive price point.

Surely there has to come a point where you have to accept that the NX cannot actually be powered by the wishful thinking of Nintendo fans, and that it will have to use real-life, tangible processors that actually exist and can be made at a competitive price point. Any beliefs that this console will be more powerful than the PS4 pro has absolutely no basis in reality. Period.

Yes because it makes sense for Nintendo to put their main hardware business on the back burner in favor of a miracle shot of competing against Sony and MS who have a 4 year headstart.

Unreal engine 4 Pokemon 1080p 60fps

OMG.

Why? To get hits it's a simple case of "Oh EG reported this so people are more likely to believe it lets move on it as well", NX has been one of the main things on the minds of gamers for over a year, also how about you find me a quote where Nintendo says they'll never use comparable specs?

WSJ has reported on other rumours that flat out contradicts you.

Who says releasing a console is directly competing?
