Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (Genesis).
I reached a stage that begins with Harry next to a lever and a minecart. Pressed all buttons and directions for 5-10 minutes, nothing happened. Harry wouldn't even move.

Do I have to count all the times I got stuck? I don't want to be here all day...

Of course not, but give us one you remember....
Like mine, I'm sure I've got frustratingly stuck before and numerous times but one that sticks in my memory is back in the day when first playing FF7. Before I really knew I should be saving the game in multiple saves, I was stuck in the Temple of Ancients after the Red Dragon, before Demon Wall. There are no encounters, no way to level up, you just run to the Demon Wall and fight it. I was not strong enough for it, would annhilate me over and over. So I changed my tactics, instead of playing the game as I had done (best I could up until then running in and attacking), I moved all my characters to the back line, cast Big guard on myself and had someone use a Hyper on Cloud. I'd cast Bahamut, and only Clouds limit, had Aeris so used her limit with filled limit bars straight away as well. Took it down in minutes instead of just dieing in minutes instead. But took me a while to get to that stages. :P
Hmm, pie.

Well, there was that time in the Water Temple in OoT that I spent a whole month looking for that damned last key before I ragequit it (the next time I replayed the game I beat the temple in less than an hour to my annoyance), that weird glitch in Skyrim that made me unable to continue the main story and I almost beat all the sidequests before finding a solution, the utter wrecking I got at the hands of Etrian Mystery Dungeon's final boss (lost my best weapons and armour, I have to grind again to get them back), I can't beat the last semi-boss on Stella Glow no matter how I grind, I can't beat THE FUCKING SMTIV TUTORIAL, I GAVE THEM MONEY AND LIFE AND THEY RUN AWAY YOU DEMOONSSS, I can't beat the Chapter 7 of Valkyria Chronicles because everytime the girl with the laser lance appears she wreckes me, I'm still trying to figure out how do I beat the murderer of Persona 4... So many roadblocks to pass.

Wouldn't be a game with there weren't challenges to overcome. XD
Hmm, pie.
Getting the boss-key in the second dungeon in Link's Awakening had me stumped for a long time since it didn't appear even though i did the right thing
Orphan of Kos is a nightmare in the Bloodborne DLC. I'm still getting mentally prepared to try the challenge, again xD.

The Atari actually had a lot of really fun games, most of them being the kind you could understand quickly. In fact, we hooked up an old Atari 2600 at the skatepark and kids who had never seen one before were loving it. Defender, Yars Revenge, Super Breakout, games like that were simple yet challenging. E.T. was not one of them. I tried many times to understand the game but it was just so muddled that I never did. It deserves to be known as one of the worst games ever. It wasn't alone, though. Some developers released broken games with nice box art in order to fool people, as there was really no way to know what you were getting. I was pretty young--the Atari was actually meant for my older sisters--but I would plead with my mom to buy something from the bargin bin. At the point my dad bought the Atari, the industry was crashing and everywhere had bins of cheap games on clearance. Some of those games were really good. However, I ended up with the single worst game I've ever played, as well. I never understood ANYTHING about it.

Yeah, I feel I've heard a lot about the good and bad sides with the atari, I think a lot of it from AVGN. He may mostly talk about bad games and how awful some of the Atari games were, I think I got picture of how the Atari 2600 was during its run.
Also, I think I get the idea of Bugs. You... shoot the spray can thing and it explodes, killing all the bugs and lizard, right? That's what I think I got. It looks pretty confusing though. I'm not even sure what was happening, haha.

As a kid RPGs all the time had me going "Where do I need to go?" if I took breaks from them. I know people complain about hand holding, but I love a quick reference option to let me know "Go to Town X" or something similar.
