Forums - Sony - Critics Are Pretty ‘Meh’ About Playstation VR’s Launch Games - Up At Noon Live!

IGN are haters, but i can't say any of this surprises me.

How are IGN haters? Remember when they gave Uncharted 3 and TLOU a 10/10? Or when they prazed Mario Galaxies as the best game last gen? Or applauded Forza Horizon 3 as the best racing game this gen?

I never understand why people call out critics or reviewers because they have a different opinion to there own. I bet everyone loves them when they give good scores to there favourite companies.

I wouldn't read too much into someone elses opinions. I have my ups and downs for IGN aswell but at the end of the day its just an opinion.

They are talking about reviews of PS4 VR games.

Those were among the positive things too.

If you look metascore of PS4 VR games you will they are very "Meh", and about that this video is.

Yep, I observed that too. One exemple:

But time will tell if they are wrong or not.

How is this reception in relation to other VR software such as rift and vive?

Ok, MC stinks for sorting so I used Open Critic.

Occuls/Vive - 8 games avg. 70.5

playstastion VR - 11 games avg. 67.9

I would have thought there would be more VR reviews for Occculus and Vive.

Fairly close in regards to software. Hopefully devs can figure out how to make compelling software.

Highest ranking game is Rez Infinite on psvr with 92

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

How are they haters? They just talk about the MC score of the launch games...

I guess i'm generalising a bit, but their opinion pieces can run throught the outright horrible, so i have no respect for them. That podcast where they said Sonic was never good (including genesis games) they died for me. They talk absolute nonsense.

Look above. I'm surprised to see this many defenders of IGN though.

Are gamers loving the launch games?

Yes, they are. This video has agenda written all over it. You only have to listen to the language they use to express their opinions.

"getting through that bag of snakes that is setting it up"

"its a lot of money to spend on a toy that you arent very sure of"

"look at the launch title for PS4. ohh look, they added pixels to a bunch of games i already have"

all those comments were made within the first minute lol.

A lot of playstation VR games launch titles are really over glorified tech demos costing 20 bucks a pop. However launch day stuff is generally really meh for new technology, it is the first year that is telling one way or another.

Honestly Resident Evil 7 will be the first really strong title. (Not to take anything away from Rez and Thumper).

Gawd these guys are hard to watch, not funny, no charisma, boring to listen to.

Yeah, that's why I was curious about the other VR options and if they've released more compelling software but if they have it is not being reviewed I guess and the same goes for the demo stuff on release window unless they really have that small of a library.
