It's not the end of the world but it's remarkably disrespectful and callous. He really should know better.

It's a tactless, rude way of phrasing his opinion on Iwata's business acumen. Whether that was his intent or not is debatable.

Pachter hatred is a really interesting slice of what the internet brings to the table.  I think he's well aware of that, too, and plays it up.

He can have a very reasonable discussion and say twenty things right, all of which will usually get ignored, but if he says one thing that a particular group of fans don't like, it will be slathered across forums as far as the eye can see--and on those forums, you'll have a herd of fans, who are usually way off base themselves, say, "lol Pachter is always wrong."  It's taken on a life of its own, at this point, and is really quite fascinating.

In this particular case, I find it slightly disrespectful but also not a big deal.  He seemed to be speaking within the context of his argument about Iwata as a business person, which is completely up for debate.  Public figures are not above professional criticism simply because they are deceased.

No. His track record is a piece of shit and nobody would ever find 20 things he predicted right in his entire career. The hate against Pachter doesn't come out of nowhere. He just has no idea what he's talking about.

First, I don't. Second, it's his profession, so it should be his ambition to predict the right stuff. He doesn't. Third, if I wanted to be an analyst and said nothing but bullshit all the time, my reputation would be bad. That's just logical. What kind of an answer did you expect?

He actually makes some really good points in this video alone.  What do you think of those?  I'm guessing nothing, because all you know about Pachter is what you've read on forum by people who are angry about something he said.  Like it or not, you're the perfect example of what I was talking about.

Only if he's a total douche about it like Pachter is.

Forum rules preclude me from addressing this.  However, calling someone a "total douche" and "piece of shit" because you disagree with them doesn't give you much room to talk.

I don't know what to honestly say for those who truly believe that everyone is out to get the guy who makes himself look like a total dick towards others. I get that whole "lets look at it from the other side" kind of excuse, but I tried that and he still looks exactly the same, an asshole thorugh and through.
