Forums - Sony - PSVR is multiplat?

According to my Facebook feed ( which has never been wrong about anything), if you hook up a PSVR to an Xbox One, it still works. Pretty cool, I guess.

My local Gamestop has them in stock so I'll be getting one today! Gonna download all of the demos, now.

Sony is selling these things at a profit if what I've read is correct so it makes sense to try to sell to as many as possible.

Still... $400. A PS4Pro just looks like a far more attractive investment to me.

Good, the VR audience pool should be as large as possible. +1 for PSVR

Not so much multiplat as it basically just functions as a display attached to your face with no other frills or thrills. It is still only fully functional as a VR headset on the PS4.

Nice!

no, the PSVR doesn't work on xbox one or pc, the xbox one and PC work ON PS4 & PSVR, just like you can put the ps4 hdmi in the xb1 hdmi out or it whatever it was and upscale ps4 games at 4k with the xb1 s

Hopefully some tech savvy soul finds a way to make it compatible with pc vr porn!

It's just a wearable display when used in that capacity.

So, any HDMI out device should theoretically be compatible with PSVR in "cinematic mode" which is underutilizing the hardware, but does offer an alternative to a standard HDTV style display.

For a non-intrusive way of watching video content (that also functions as your sound output) that won't disturb anyone with noise or the lights of a display, it's not a bad option, just probably not worth it for $400 if it's not being used for VR content.

Yeah. I'm just going to use it as another second screen option. WiiU GamePad, Vita, PSTV, my PC/laptop, and now PSVR. When somebody is using my favorite TV in the game room, I'll have a plethora of options.

Primary function will be the PS4 and actual VR games, of course!
