The setup is a mess, My mate brought one and his living room is a mess now. I loved how gamers hated the Power Brick for XB1 yet the Box that comes with the PSVR acceptable. It reminds me of the 32X for the Sega Genesis.

Of course the extra box and the cables are not invisible, but if you don't lay the cables directly through your room, and don't put the connection-box directly into the room, it ain't "a mess".
If you are not robbing on my floor you can't even see the PSVR-connection-box (it is laying on the back of my Xbox One for now) from a standing or seated position*:
From this point you have ONE cable from the connection-box to the headset. That cable is long enough that you don't have to lay it straight through the room. In my room most part of that cable is hidden under my sofa (i pulled it forward for the photo, but pushed back that part also ain't visible from a standing or seating position:
Despite of the detour that cable takes, it is still long enough to play anything in a seated or standing position. If that cable is too short due to that detour, you are probable out of the visible area of the PS4 camera anyways:
* Yeah, I know I have to clean the dust... I'll do it next month while replacing the PS4 with a PS4 Pro ;)
PS.: the USB cable at the front of the P4 is a bit annoying. I hope that the PS4 Pro gets a few more USB slots at the back.
