Isn't Gear Vr the standalone?

For Gear VR well you need Samsung Galaxy.

So then for this you need a PC?  I wonder what tech they are using communicate with whatever is powering this thing.   I'm afraid of latency.

Okay after reading some more it looks like there is something in the back of the device that feeds an image to the front of the device? Its that thing a transmitter or is that thing the actual media? Also, that thing on the back has to be a battery too right? I am so confused?

They are working on it, sadly can not give you more information, I can't follow the stream now because of work.

the graphic on the presentation is horrendous.

I think they are saying that its powered by the werid thing on the back of the straps.. which may be a small gpu and or processor... Also, and most importantly, what about battery power... perhaps the burning sensation of a hot battery on the back of your head is a mechinism to help reduce over exposure to VR by forcing you to take the damn thing off lol.

Certainly it seems to have all the things to help you not abuse the use of it, probably will like to use it 5 min in a lifetime.

Not even the marketer could force himself to say anything more than "it's pretty cool".

That's so worrying. Not just about this low res garbage device but VR as a whole. Nobody seems to be truly blown away. Nobody seems to become addicted.

Laughable those PS2 graphics are.

There is nothing more in my heart that wants Oculus to fail after they were taken over by Facebook. Fuck Facebook.

Looks like an intro to South Park (first pic in op).

Too soon. The tech isn't there yet

(Unless this still needs a PC?)
