You should! Its better than the Vita!

Oh Basil.  I miss the days when you were planning on buying one instead of making fun of it :(

I really, really want to get pumped for this, as it looks like the true "Banjo Threeie" I've been waiting for since I was like 13 years old, but the horrid track record of big kickstarter projects, especially Wii U ones, still has me expecting this to never see the light of day on Wii U.

Hyper Light Drifter turned out to be a masterpiece!

I mean, it also ended up skipping Wii U, but...

what happened to the N64 version? I backed that one lol.

ok granted it is just a shell for the digital copy but i really hope i can get a game disc.

And yet we still haven't seen the Wii U version, while we have seen the outsourced PS4 version. I find that quite concerning.

That's fair enough. The only explanation I can think of is is that PS4 likely has the most backers (barring PC), and obviously looks the prettiest (of the console ports), so that's obviously the version they'd show the most of. I'm not saying that that the fact that we haven't seen the Wii U version at all isn't suspicious or, at the very least, annoying, but I'm willing to give them a bit of faith. They've been communicating with fans a hell of a lot more than, say, Comcept, and early previews have been a lot more positive, so I have faith. I perfectly understand feeling a tad worried though, Kickstarter projects don't have a good history on Wii U besides Shovel Knight, so I understand apprehension completely.

I wish I had your confidence. :(

This situation reminds me unpleasantly of back when they hadn't shown the Wii U version of Project CARS, but still assured us it was coming.

I'm also very skeptical of the Q1 2017 release window. Kickstarter projects often see multiple delays, and the further this is pushed back, the less and less likely a Wii U release will become.

Oh I remember the Project Cars thing quite vividly. Difference for me is that Project Cars was originally announced for PS3, 360, PC, and Wii U. Then they dropped the 360/PS3 version for PS4/XB1. I knew from that point on that the Wii U wasn't ever going to get that game. I also kinda figured that once they got a major publisher on board (Bandai Namco), that the Wii U version was in trouble. Additionally, Slighty Mad aired their concerns of the Wii U version relatively early on, whereas Playtonic hasn't mentioned anything about specific difficulties yet. The fact that Playtonic has another studio helping also eases some worries for me.

I will completely grant your release date skepticism though, and also believe that the more it gets delayed, the less likely the Wii U version is to exist. I'm similarly worried for Bloodstained's Wii U version considering it's release date of 2018. The Wii U is gonna be two years dead with its successor on the market by then. It's not much to me either way admittedly considering I have an XB1, but I do prefer getting third party games on Nintendo hardware. We'll just have to wait and see.

It's healthy to have a fair amount of skepticism, again because Kickstarter and Wii U don't have the best history.

I was lucky enough to play this at EGX and had a long chat and some banter with a couple of the devs. I can assure that the game is coming to Wii U as Playtonic are handling the Wii U and PC versions, PS4/XBOX being outsourced. I also asked about Amiibo , in which I got a smile and a "We are in talks about that". I also asked if they had seen NX which was hilarious as they both went bright red, you could tell they know what it is lol

I really hope you guys are right, but after getting burned so many times, I just don't have a lot of faith left. Especially since it's allegedly 3-5 months away and we still haven't seen the Wii U version.

If it does come to Wii U, I will buy it day 1.

The only playable version is that of the PC, I can tell you that the game is looking fantastic.

Being a Nintendo fan you should know that there is something that is 5 or so months away that we have yet to see anything of ;)
