And yet we still haven't seen the Wii U version, while we have seen the outsourced PS4 version. I find that quite concerning.

That's fair enough. The only explanation I can think of is is that PS4 likely has the most backers (barring PC), and obviously looks the prettiest (of the console ports), so that's obviously the version they'd show the most of. I'm not saying that that the fact that we haven't seen the Wii U version at all isn't suspicious or, at the very least, annoying, but I'm willing to give them a bit of faith. They've been communicating with fans a hell of a lot more than, say, Comcept, and early previews have been a lot more positive, so I have faith. I perfectly understand feeling a tad worried though, Kickstarter projects don't have a good history on Wii U besides Shovel Knight, so I understand apprehension completely.

I wish I had your confidence. :(

This situation reminds me unpleasantly of back when they hadn't shown the Wii U version of Project CARS, but still assured us it was coming.

I'm also very skeptical of the Q1 2017 release window. Kickstarter projects often see multiple delays, and the further this is pushed back, the less and less likely a Wii U release will become.
