According to Tony Khan himself, All Out did well over 200k buys.

UPDATE: Now Meltzer is reporting somewhere between 205-220k buys.

This would be the first non-WWE PPV to do over 200k buys since WCW Mayhem in 1999. 

For reference to WWE, the last time one of their PPVs did over 200k buys was WrestleMania 31 which did 256k (not counting Network subscriptions.) And the last PRE-Network PPV that did over 200k buys was Hell in a Cell 2013 which did 212k buys.

The growth and momentum just continues to build for All Elite Wresting.

What Mick's saying has been true for WWE for quite a while. They've done that SO frequently in the past decade. There's a star who is doing great in NXT, then they bring them to RAW or Smackdown to pad those rosters and proceed not to use them in the way that worked in NXT, even if they book them to win, it's usually in some kind of weird and anti-climactic way. And Mick is right, years ago they used to be able to work wonders with guys... and it had NOTHING to do with them being large in size as I've heard some people arguing: The Hardies, Angle, Benoit, Mysterio, Jericho, and others from that period were all fairly small. Even Foley himself wasn't that big. All of these guys were stars in their day... and in 2000, almost EVERY SINGLE ONE of their Monday Night RAW roster was a star... the only ones who didn't were the guys like Brisco/Patterson/Mean Street Posse and some of the valets like Terri Runnels.

After watching a few weeks of AEW, it seems like 90-95% of the talent featured on Dynamite look like stars, and then there are guys like Cutler - who is kind of a Patterson/Briscoe type character. WWE, I couldn't say the same thing, maybe 10-20% when I was last watching.

I think they could have done the Big E win a little differently. Have Bobby Lashley be cocky and say it doesn't matter whether he cashes it in or not. That way it would be less heelish for Big E to cash in on a weakened opponent.

Nevertheless looking forward to Big E's run. Lashley was doing great, but he's a bit similar to Reigns and having two dominant heels as champions was a bit meh. And, Raw needed a change desperately anyway. Hopefully they keep the New Day together. Can't remember the last time there was a face stable at the top of the card.

Actually moderately excited for extreme rules tonight. The card isn't amazing on paper, but WWE definitely seems to be in a "shit we need to do something" mode, largely, I think, due to the return of the NFL. I think there's a reasonable chance Balor might win; enough at least to get me invested in the match. I'm also surprisingly excited for Alexa vs Charlotte, as they finally seem to be getting a handle on how to use that character (i.e. she's crazy, not she has superhuman powers). The card is a bit thin otherwise. Big E's absence is notable, but I think they probably want to hype his first defense more. Should be a perfectly pleasant way to spend a Sunday evening.

Yeah, there’s no way in hell Balor is winning. Especially not when Roman and Brock at Crown Jewel is around the corner. Maybe they do something where Brock gets involved and screws over Balor, so that the Demon is protected. But taking the title off Roman NOW would be a huge freaking mistake. They’ll have a great match, but the outcome should not be in doubt.

Well, no use arguing about it now. I thought that maybe Brock vs Roman was big enough that it didn't need the title. The ending of the match was silly, but it did the job of making me believe for a bit that Finn was going to win. Keeps Finn looking strong, and hopefully they'll continue another time.

Overall fun show. Wasn't the greatest thing I've ever seen, but a decent use of 10 bucks and 3 hours. Most of the feuds were just starting out, so the objective was to leave you wanting more, and sometimes you need shows like that. Just kind of wish they didn't call it extreme rules when there was only one extreme rules match, and even that one wasn't all that extreme.
