It's not that far, the NX needs to be cheaper than its competitors and also have a competitive price for a handheld. $300 would be a good price.

What I always said to summarize the issues with the NX is that it needs to have a home console power and quality, and a handheld price and ergonomics. Not an easy thing to do.

It's impossible to do. Thus, it's not going to do these things.

Well, if you say you're going to do an hybrid of 2 products, the objective is to take the strengths of each product, not their weaknesses. An handheld with the price and size of a home console but no additional power would be pretty terrible, wouldn't it?

They're taking a lot of risks here. They need to win back their home console audience without losing their handheld audience. And their main audience right now is the handheld one. They absolutely need the 3DS players to buy the NX. You can't do that with a $400+ console.

(Like I said in another thread, the best way to do it is to do several SKUs, one with the handheld, one with the home console and one with both. The handheld one would be the entry SKU and the best seller by far, and then they can try to convince the handheld owners to buy the added home part. With this solution they could try $200 for the handheld, 250$ for the home console, $400 for both.)

VR is old news, the NX will have something even better.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I doubt it

and hope it's not the case

Friends, you don't need a console to do good VR. Check this game out. From my Gear VR.
This game is a third person dungeon game and plays like a Zelda game. You are IN THE ROOM with your hero in 3D. It's really good. Herobound: Spirit Champion

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Consumers will pay for something worthwhile.  The same people who bought $150 handhelds are now buying $600 iPads.  Price is only an issue if the public doesn't want to pay it. They will pay it for something they want.

That said, expect the NX "system" to in reality to be more of a systems set up akin to the relationship between PS4 and Vita.

They already said no, but probably later when they find out how it will do. No one wants another motion control like crash like before.

They said no over 2 years ago.  Since then they've openly said they're working on it.  They've said they don't like what other companies have done with it...IE, wait till you see what Nintendo's take on VR is. I expect something more social.

I seriously hope not.

Didn't they release a statement saying how they're not interested in VR?

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Nope. They are interested.
