The NX is rumored to be less powerful than the Xbox One. Good luck with VR with a console this weak. Or the false VR like with the Google Cardboard but with the NX tablet, but in that case I hope they'll kill this before it release (people still need to be convinced by VR, a big and bad VR product could be terrible for this new market).

Or do you believe they will offer a PS4, a PS Vita and a PSVR in one bundle priced cheaply? (home console + handheld + VR.... And coffee maker with this? ^^)

Depends...do you consider $450 cheap?

Well, you can't have a good VR experience with an added handheld for $450. And at $450, the NX would already be DOA.

It will not maybe it's successor.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Too expensive, that's all. You can find a PS4 or an Xbox easily for a lot less than that, and with a price like this you can also say goodbye to the 3DS audience. Nintendo would have only the Wii U audience left...

The most important thing for Nintendo with the NX is to convince the handheld players to buy it. And a handheld console need to be cheap (younger audience, more risky for the console...).

The PS4 is barely able to run VR, which is a homeconsole. I wonder how a hybrid console like NX would be able to do VR.

You're assuming the NX doesn't have a home console with a capable APU.

I expect the NX to be weaker than the PS4 since it is rumoured to be a hybrid with a Nvidia tegra gen 2. I doubt Nintendo is able to afford much on the docking station considering the handheld like controller will cost at least $150 to make. Which leaves only $125 for the hub for extra recourses which are necessary for VR. Which should make a device a little bit less powerful as the Xone possible, but PS4 (which needs an extra box already even though it is mostly for sound) seems very hard to achieve. PSVR is probably the lowest VR can go in quality and still be widely accepted.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It doesn't matter if PS4s are cheaper if NX is a superior product.

What? It DOES matter, absolutely. Or else the PS4 and PSVR would be useless and everyone would buy a gaming PC with the Vive. It's a superior product after all...

And since when is the NX a superior product anyway? :D

Max price $275? You crazy.

It's not that far, the NX needs to be cheaper than its competitors and also have a competitive price for a handheld. $300 would be a good price.

What I always said to summarize the issues with the NX is that it needs to have a home console power and quality, and a handheld price and ergonomics. Not an easy thing to do.

It's impossible to do. Thus, it's not going to do these things.
