It has been a while since my last thread, it suddenly occured to me I haven't made a thread about the new PS4 Pro and my last NX thread was ages ago. Since that time we practically know NX is going to be some sort of hybrid system of which the handheld will probably form the bottleneck. The NX is rumoured to be quite powerful and was somewhat comparable with the vanilla xone, recently the Xone has been made a bit more powerful and it supports UHD blu ray and HDR. Bigger news however was the announcement and reveal of the PS4 pro with a whopping 4.2 teraflops, which is way more powerful than the vanilla PS4, which already was more powerful than the vanilla xone.
This means the PS4 pro which costs only €100- more than the PS4 slim and probably the NX and offers a lot more graphical power for a very affordable price. I wonder whether the announcement and release of the PS4 pro espeically in combination with PSVR (which needs those extra teraflops) will negatively influence the sales of the NX. Or whether the NX is unique enough to not be affected by the recent launches of these platforms. I for one could see that many gamers with a 4k tv buy a PS4 pro instead of a NX and I could also see people buying a PSVR and Pto be sure a PS4 pro for it. When the holiday season has ended it will remain doubtful if those same gamers will also buy a NX.
The problem with the NX is, even though we get a better image due to rumours of what the NX is. We really don't actually know jack about it yet except it releases somewhere in march 2017. We do on the other hand know what the PS4 pro and PSVR offer, hell we even know more about project scorpio than the NX. Anyway what do you guys think is the release of the PS4 pro and VR this holiday going to eat sales potential for the NX during launch away, or will gamers buy the NX anyway?
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
