It can if you read it right. Because they change the concept for both. The new concept will combine both and be an iPad.

If Nintendo doesn't make a home console then I'm out. There is no reason why Nintendo couldn't make a console that doesn't break the bank. I'm hopeful for the 2 devices 1 ecosystem rumor.

But don't you feel it's a pretty far stretch to say it means that. You could just as easily read it as two seperate devices.

No, he suggesting one device that change concept of home console or a handheld.

"The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device".

Then you are out, at this point it's almost certain that is hybrid device.

No its not stretch at all if we count what Nintendo recently was saying and EG infos for instance.

Actually, I'm thinking more about a Vita TV-like device. They keep its price low by removing expensive portable parts, screen, batteries... An option for those who don't care about handhelds anymore. Good idea for the West, specially as a secondary console. Small and affordable.
