It still counts as a Western RPG, that's why we call Japanese RPG's as JRPG's.

OT: RTS would be my fave genre in total with ARPG being a close second and FPS 3rd.

I just love building bases, amassing armies and conquering territories and places across the map. That and making bases the way I want appeals to me.

Hack and slash games are best because they are technical, fun and have variety of enemies. God of War adds a good story, level design, script, pacing, graphics and music to that and so is my favourite gaming series. The genre has many quality series that all feel unique in gameplay unlike other genres.

The Squaresoft RPG

They had the best stories, the best soundtracks, characters and the kind of gameplay that was just simple enough with complex strategies and deep customization that the game mechanics didn't become too befuddled to dampen the experience.

I'm not going to downplay how good they were by saying they're the best JRPGs of all time. I'm saying they were the best RPGs of all time, hands down. They had a specific quality to them that weren't like other JRPGs. A nice mix of western and eastern influence making them feel of their own genre.

Probaly FPS, mainly because of halo but I like a lot of other FPS (actually I'm a huge fan of shooting campaigns for whatever reason XD I only really play halo for online) but I also love JRPGS

I'm assuming the Dead or alive xtreme series is in your top 10 games of all time 

If people call Poland as Western. Japan is called just  a  Eastern or Asia.

As far as things go in the games industry, we have two types, Western and Asian games.

I don't get why you see Western devs being "united" as some bad thing. It's not even a versus thing at all. Even then when you pair up the countries that aren't Aisan versus those that are, the numbers would dwarf the Asian anyway, 

Action platformers because they're simple. Usually only requires a couple buttons to play.  I don't have to memorize a million things to have a good time. They're easy to pick up, challenging to master, and I like that. I can just pop it in, play a few levels, then quit. It doesn't feel like a huge commitment.

This doesn't mean I don't play other stuff as well, but platformers will always be my favorite. :)
