Why would you want to get rid of a genre though? Everyone has their own taste why would you want to make less gamers?

MMORPGs I guess, they are bad for you.

Football games (sub-genre of sports ?) and FPSs. by far the two genres that hold back the industry the most with almost invisible changes in every iteration and tens of milions of copies sold, bought with money that could save deserving developers.

For those asking: yes, I'm ok with saying goodbye to Mario Strikers if it means no more FIFA/PES. Of course Rocket League doesn't count...

I think if there where less shooters, there would instead be soooooo much else.

Imagine tons and tons of triple AAA RPGs, Adventure games,Platformers (been to long, too few collectathon's)..... list goes on and on.

Too much money in makeing these Army clone war battles, where people shoot one another.
Maybe its just me, but I have very little intrest in playing any of these those types of games.

Also theres are a ton of really good RPGs that are drawn anime style.
