A FPS....They should make a FPS game with their Nintendo Characters...
An FPS would be the worst possible new IP, and it goes against everything Nintendo stands for. Really, Nintendo will come up with something that works for them, as they always do. I dunno why people are calling for Nintendo to create new IPs all of the time when they completely ignore the fact that Nintendo has a new IP every couple of years at the least.

Nintendo needs many kinds of IP.
One is a high production RPG with Square Enix or MistWalker's Quality. Of course we will get ToS and will be successful, but we need a more "mature" RPG to prove that the genre can live very well in that platform. This is why I believe Nintendo bought Monolith Soft, because they have no experience in RPG except in SRPG like Fire Emblem and that's a completely different kind of game.... (I think this is why SE is delaying Crystal Bearers because they fear this could happen and need to get ready).
A driving simulator will be less likely to happen in the short term, their experience is in arcade racing and they are good at that (Please give us F-zero for Wii, Nintendo). They need a company with experience.
An RTS game. with Warcraft III quality (obviously with simple controls but the remote and nunchuck have potential on this).
They should make a RTS no console RTS game has ever been good but im sure Nintendo can find a way to make it worthwile, They do probally need a good FPS too but im not a big fan of that genre so wouldnt bother me
Aren't the "Wii" titles a new IP in a way? I like FPS but I don't want Mario with a gun. LOL

If they ever want to steal Xbox owners, they need a mindless shooter in the vein of Doom, Quake, Halo, Gears of War. You run, you shoot, you hide, you shoot, you pick up a massive gun, you blow up a truck, you flip a tank over with one hand, you chainsaw something, you shoot etc.
Wear gaudy colours or avoid display. It's all the same.
Be warned, I will use walls of polysyllables and complex clauses as a defence against lucid argument.

some kind of M rated style game to show some diversity instead of being perceived as a kiddy console or a console for grannies ;)
