Unless you want to miss 90% of the best that gaming has to offer, I guess Nintendo+PC is the way to go.

Most PC classics come to iOS nowadays and Nintendo is slowly transitioning to becoming a 3rd party to Apple devices, who knows in 5 years they will fully transition.

PS4+iPad is the way to go

For a moment I thought today was April Fools' Day

As did I, especially the Sony = 90% of all gaming part along with Apple.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

For me PS3 + PS4 is gaming heaven. Lots of exclusives, all the big third party games, more pc type games then ever releasing on the platform, all my friends on the platform and the best communities on Playstation for the type of games I play.

There is no straight up answer for this because if I was someone else I might like Nintendo type games so a Nintendo + pc would be heaven then.

Those numbers are clearly a way to speak, almost every Ps4 game is on PC so I say around 90%, easy enough to understand, you are just nitpicking by now.

It means a debate would be probably useless for me as I'm already pretty convinced that Nintendo + PC gives you almost everything (that's where I would put a number and you would nitpick) worth while in gaming except for few exclusives.

Well to put that into perspective, imagine if WiiU had great third party support. Then they could easily have 90% of their games on PC. But perhaps not the ones you'd be interested in. Because chances are you're most interested in Nintendo's games.
That's the case for me on PS4, where I'm mostly interested in Japanese games. If I were to make a list of the games I'm interested in on PS4, the number of games available on, or confirmed for PC is rather small. Probably closer to the opposite, around 10%. So it's really about what type of games you're into.

Sure, at the end is all bout that, I find that Ps4 has like 2 current exclusives and 2 future ones that really interest me, so overall is a minority to what PC+Nintendo has to offer me right now, let alone in the future when they show NX line up, but i can understand why someone could be more interested on Persona 5 than all 3ds catalogue together or to find Breath Of The Wild better than all Ps4 exclusives, it all depends on what really says something to you as a gamer, quantity isn't that important, if I was a hardcore modern Jrpg fan then I would probably find Ps4 more interesting than PC or WiiU, but I just like them when they are remarkably good so I'm only interested on P5 atm and the rest is noise.

Absolutely, for me. With PC+Nintendo I'll be missing out on only one game that I feel I must absolutely play.

Only one game? With PS3, PS4 and Vita I got (or will soon get) access to a lot of my favorite series:

  • The Last of Us + Left Behind
  • 5 Uncharted games
  • 7 God of War games
  • 3 inFamous games + First Light + Festival of Blood
  • 5 Persona (RPG) games
  • 3 David-Cage-games (Heavy Rain / Beyond: Two Souls / Detroit)
  • a lot of Ratchet & Clank games (at least 6 of them are great)
  • 4 Sly Cooper games
  • 4 Jak & Daxter games + 1 Daxter game
  • 4 Killzone games
  • 2 Gravity Rush games
  • 4 LittleBigPlanet games
  • 1.5 Tearaway games
  • The Puppeteer
  • Metal Gear Solid 3 + 4
  • Journey
  • DriveClub
  • Until Dawn
  • Bloodborne

The only titles of these having a chance of a PC or Nintendo re-release are Metal Gear Solid 3 + 4.

Ah, I was referring specifically to this gen. Horizon is Sony's only "must have" exclusive for me so far this gen. From your list I'd add the Jak remasters, TLOU(though in hindsight I could've missed out on that one) and Persona, but only because I hear so much great stuff about it, and I do enjoy the occasional JRPG.

Playstation, Nintendo and Xbox for me.

Consoles provide a more convenient and social experience for me and I like their exclusives and distinct branding. Although this gen I find Xbox and Playstation a bit too similar bar a few exclusives, starting to wish they joined forces now.

One thing to remember is that emulation isn't the only way to play ps3 games on PC. Sony did release PSNow for PC so...

Not the most ideal way to play if it were up to me but its there.

For me i would of said no at one time since most jrpg's are on PS consoles.

However with PC getting more and more of the bigger name JRPG's now coming to Steam that question is no longer a yes for me.

"If your jrpg doesnt come to steam i just will not buy it till it does, and if it doesnt ill play something else that is on Steam since now the is so many jrpgs".

This is pretty gross exagerration. PC/Steam is currently reliant on console platforms to finance those PC ports done by the localization companies. You forget that those PC versions don't exist in Japan (in most cases).

Even with the number of ports that have been announced, it's still around half? (and most are year late)

No thanks. I'll continue to game on all platforms.

"Nintendo consoles being the only ones that pretty much dont share 90% of their games with PC."

That first line is a pretty bizarre argument, at least as far as the PS4 and WiiU go. The WiiU's lack of overlap with PC isn't because its library is overflowing with exclusives, it's just out-right missing the multi-plats. If you're a PC gamer looking to buy a console for exclusives, neither is lacking in options. Your preferences are going to be far more relevant than "but the PS4 has exclusives and multi-plats" :p

It's a more valid argument for handhelds, but even then, preferences will prevail.

This. I don't see the rationale behind the OP as he seems to criticise PS4 and XB1 for having more multiplatform games than Wii U. In terms of exclusives they are almost the same.

So you are defending a made up number.. with another made up number?

Also yes the word "debate" does change it from opinion to fact. Why would you be debating yourself?

That would be true for PS4 + PC and XB1 + PC as well. You will only miss a few exclusives on other platforms.

This is why the therad makes no sense. PS pltforms have many exclusives and more exclsuives worth playing than Nintendo and Xbox have.

For me, Playstation and Nintendo come first. PC after. I usually find myself playing games on PC that I already played on PS4/PS3. Some third party games just feel better on console.
