Forums - Microsoft - ReCore Metacritic/Review thread - Current Meta:63

So we now know the real reason why it's $40, not the bullshit reason MS gave us.

Around the Network

I honestly think that Inafune needed Capcom as much or more than they needed him at this point. And the same thing with a lot of other big-name game designers who've struck out on their own only to flail about as indies. These designers seem to need the restraining hand of an executive producer to keep them on the rails and QA the final product, and whatever Capcom's faults, they know Inafune's strengths and weaknesses far better than Microsoft or Kickstarter backers did.

Lower than I thought. I was expecting at least 75.

This is a rare example of me not purchasing a game based on critical reception. I wanted this to be good but, no. My time is too precious these days.

I've had some fun this gen but I think 60% of my playtime has been spent playing games from last gen or games that are shared with last gen. It's starting to get frustrating.

Yet another lazy effort on Keiji Inafune, slapping is name on projects left and right. I had my doubt after what happen with Mighty number 9. I will wait for the a digital sale before I even consider buying this game. Too bad Xbox One could of really used an awesome exclusive.

At least Microsoft did the right thing by not putting a $60 price point on this new IP. I hope this will be a good building block towards a greater game in Recore 2.

When they first showed gameplay, I was actually somewhat tempted because it reminded me of Ratchet & Clank. I kind of figured it was going to be subpar in reviews. Little bit worse than I expected though. Probably not gonna bother with this one now

When I saw this game and the Metroid developers that were making it, I thought zomg, this will be the Metroid game that Nintendo isn't willing to give us!

Now it has a lower meta than fucking Metroid Federation Force... What the shitz happened?

Dissapointed to see such bad reviews. I don't think it sells well now. Who develops this game?

Well there havent really been many new IPs this gen. Except from indie games.

I count quite a few, actually...

- The Order
- DRIVECLUB
- Bloodborne
- Scalebound
- ReCore
Quantum Break
- No Man's Sky
- Destiny
- WATCH_DOGS
- The Division
- Sunset Overdrive
- Overwatch
- Rocket League
- Until Dawn
- Splatoon
- Ryse
- Knack

And that's just off the top of my head.

Can I add:

- Alienation

- Resogun

- Lords of the Fallen

- battleborn

- Warframe

Things the reviewers say:

"It's not bad"
"It's not a disaster"
"Slightly enjoyable"

"the bottom 23.7% of games".

From neograf cant remember from what it was but : "19% of reviewers recammend this game"

The most positive scores are almost all from Xbox fan sites.

Thats graph is fucking sad, why do we even have a 10 point scale -_-

Games most games arent anywhere near as good as what there score would have you believe

Many sites seems to follow a grading system similar to how schools do in the US

below 60 - Fail
60-69 - D
70-79 - C
80-89 - B
90-100 - A

Honestly, a 5 point system makes more sense to me if you are going to have one attached to reviews.
