Forums - Gaming - I want to know your opinion between a PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio battle

So...

Xbox Scorpio 164 33.68%

PS4 Pro 213 43.74%

None. I'm cool with my console. 72 14.78%

See results 38 7.80%

My opinion is that tech race is hard.

Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

1. I watched on my smartphone on the bus, and even the HDR looked worst than normal.

HDR enhances colors, it makes the blacks even more black, so I could only barely see Aloy's face on the 4K gameplay of Horizon.

2.Xbox made a smart move with S by allowing people to watch 4K bluray disk at $299, and that's sad for PS4 Pro.

3.Now, even if Microsoft made another 180 on their word about the "graphics is not the most important", I still don't see people waiting over an year to play on Scorpio for five reasons:

1. I dont understand this part. Do u have got a smarhphone with HDR ?

2. I dont think it's sad. Xbox One S is 1.4 TFLOP for 300$, PS4P is 4.2TFLOP for 400$. Ur choice.

3. It's simple - upscalled 4k with 400$ PS4Pro this year or native 4K with lets say 500$ Scorpio next year. If I was a 4K HDR owner, i will absolutely wait for Scorpio.

Ps4/Pro has games that I can only play on those systems, xbox 1/Scorpio has games I can play on my PC. So for me, while I really hate the lack of UHD player, I will buy the Pro in the end and not the Scorpio. I might buy the x1s as a UHD player however.

Just seems stupid I have to buy a seperate thing to play UHD blurays from Sony of all people.

I would not suggest buying the X1s as a UHD player. The visual quality is the worst of the existing players and according to many reviewers it is worse by a pretty large margain.

Instead wait another 6 months until better more reasonably priced 4K players hit the market.

However, if you have a cheapie 4K TV, ~$1K set, you won't be able to see the difference between the X1S and the better players, so if that is the case then go ahead and get it.

1. No. A normal smartphone, that's why it looked bad. I don't think Twitch on PC was a lot different, tho.

2. I rather spend an extra $100.

3. Personal choice that a lot of people will agree.

3DS, Wii, PSP, Vita, PS2, PS3, PS4 & Steam.

Really? I read some reviews where they said the UHD quailty were some of the best there is? I can see the review you are reading so I can see what the issues are?

I am thinking to go with this one for our TV:

http://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/4k-suhd-tvs/55-class-ks8000-8-series-4k-suhd-tv-2016-model-un55ks8000fxza/

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I have no idea.
First I don't like trash talks between fanboy and fanboy.
Second 2 company have 2 starategies.
Whici is correct ? It's non sense.

I have to say that see results.
Let's wait until future .

my opinion is buy a pc or buy a ps4 pro if the xbox scorpio is not $399

Both should sell well. Ill be getting a Scorpio around launch and eventually a Pro.

I am getting an Xbox One S first and will be getting a Scorpio next year. I like what I saw from PS4 Pro but not sure if I am getting one.
