Forums - Gaming - $400 PC VS PS4 Pro

I have heard about the PS4 Pro, and am interested in it. However, I don't know if I should get a $400 PC or just stick to the PS4 Pro.

I'm not a huge computer enthusiast, so I don't know which one would be better. Anyone have an idea/preferences? Which one would be stronger? Like to know the basics.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

I'll use the first post to predict this thread won't end well.

I mean, why not? Not like I'm starting a flame war.

It's literally just asking which one is more worth it. Comparison of power, costs for games, accessories, etc.

I'm pro pc gaming but I'm a pc enthusiast too... get a ps4 pro (see what i did there? pro...pr ok ok) why? a $400 pc could be decent enough but you're not a pc enthusiast and a $400 pc is not future proof. Even if the pc has the same power, games are going to be better optimized on ps4 pro.

and that's the bottom line cause onionberry said so :)

There is just no way to build a pc for 400$ thats going to run games better.

This.

If your asking the question, that means you are not a PC custom gamer. To begin with, you would be spending like 100 on just a tower, let alone needing power supply, and HDD. You would be near $400 to future proof your system before you even buy basically even one aspect that people brag about for specs.

Get the PS4. Comparing $400 for a PC is a troll topic.

A PC is a better investment overall, but if you'll only going to throw $400 into one then you're better off with the PS4 Pro.

Sorry to say man but the worst threads are paved with the best intentions lol

On topic I say go for simplicity.

Go Pro, get yourself a 4K machine with a controller designed for gaming with $400. You're not getting a $400 PC with a gaming keyboard and mouse for the same price. Plus most games you play on PC in 4k you can on PS4, with god of war, uncharted and things.

The last time I ever got a traditional PC was back in '05/06(I forgot when). Didn't think I'm trolling just because I'm an idiot when it comes to making PC's/evaluating them.

Also, why are towers so expensive? I get the HDD, power supply, and all the other things needed would cost a lot. But the tower?
