Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Red Dead Redemption HD on its way to PS4, X1, and PC, announcement this week

Via NeoGAF: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1274103

The Korean video game website, Gamefocus.co.kr, has reported that a remastered version of the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption is coming next year to Playstation 4, Xbox 1 and PC.

The game would be getting a full Korean localization this time, as the original game was released with english subtitles and a physical copy of the script translated to korean. While they mention that their source confirmed that the PS4 and PC version would be released in Korea, they weren't sure about the Xbox 1 version even though it exists.

The website also reports that the remaster will be announced this week, with September 7th (Playstation Meeting) being a likely date for the announcement.

Hmmm... maybe Neo version in 4k?

We won't be seeing many games running at 4k natively on the machine, but all these remasters of older games may...

May announce it alongside Red Dead 3 which will probably happen at the Neo event. And to make it complete Red Dead Revolver released as a PS2 Classic on PS4

Why a remaster when you could have a sequel? Please?

I would be happy for this, a game I havnt played but really want to.

PC too. Great finally can play this one.

Seems a bit weird to announce the remaster of multiplatform game during the reveal of your new consoles, even if it has exclusive content.

In any case, since I didn't play it on my 360, I hope it's true so I can enjoy it on PC.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Could well be a timed exclusive thingy, if even true of course. No doubt they'll only actually announce the PS4 version during the event and then confirm the others after though.

But even with how big this game was/is, a remaster is not really a console seller title, at least in my opinion. That' s why revealing it during Sony's conference is odd.

pc players can finally play redemption while ps4 gamers will enjoy redemption 2

I got it for like $4 on ps3. If they announce a remaster, probably $40 I've a dilemma. Especially if it's even better on the neo.

Do I play the dirt cheap ps3 version or buy this. I stayed with the ps3 version of Bioshock instead of getting the remaster and still thoroughly enjoyed it m and like red dead I got that dirt cheap on sale.
