Im not a Sony fan for few reasons.

The ps1 because it came along and knocked Nintendo off the crown as #1

The ps2 hype killed the Dreamcast and knocked sega out of the console race, despite the DC having a far more superior game library in its first 2 years compared to the ps2's first 2 years.

The trojan horsing of blu-ray into the ps3 and doubling its price, which was a dog act to their ps2 fan base.

As well as all the bonehead moves sony have made with the ps3, cutting BC, too many sku's, etc etc

All the killer games for the ps3 are always are a year away and when the ones that do get released come along, alot of them are not that good and bomb hard.

It's human nature. When someone had to choose what product to buy, they feel better in justifying there decision by reacting negative to the options the did not choose.

Make small men feel bigger I guess.

Personally I think each console has there strengths and weaknesses. While I do favor the PS3 over the other two due to personal preferences, they are all worth what they cost. I own all three because of it.

Honestly, I've seen far more 360 bashers in the last few months. I think the fan ratio on this site is about 55% Wii, 35% PS3 and 10% 360. (and yes, I am a PS3 fan, but not a fanboy)

AT least the hate has been turned down a notch, last year if the PS3 sales went up a thousand they would say it was luck and if it went down a thousand they would say how the PS3 is starting to die.

^^lol good times..... too bad the PS3 fans are now doing the same to the 360. Gives the more sane of us a bad name

Hate is a strong word but I´ll be honest and say that I just don´t like the direction Sony went with the PS3, there are many things that bother me.

1. The price, Sony made it way to expencive and on top was arrogant about it, they wanted to win the DVD format war at the cost of gamers and I don´t approve of that.

2. The Cell, Sony wanted to make their own CPU to make more money... which is ok but they ignored what game devs wanted and that was a bad idea IMO, sure the Cell is a strong CPU but you should never ignore the fact that your first priority is games...

3. The games, yes I know the PS3 has many good games now but Sony thought they could sell the PS3 by promising big games in the future and that didn´t quite work out...

Then there still are some things that I personally don´t like as the Playstaytion controller... its way to small and not very good for FPSs, I know its a personal thing but it makes my hands hurt and I´m not the only one... they had the chance to change that since the PS1 and are just lazy about it. Another thing is that the majority of PS3 games just don´t make me jump for joy... sure there are some good ones but most of them don´t do much for me.

That sayed I´m not trying to tell anybody the PS3 sucks... it doesn´t its a great console and if you like the games and are a fan of high-def movies than great... I can understand anybody who doesn´t like the Wii or 360... if they have some good reasons not just fanboy hate.

So quit wasting your time here and play the games you like thats all that really matters :)

if nintendo/microsoft were as arrogant as sony were before the release of their next gen console, then bumped the price and released little or no worthy titles at launch, i'm pretty sure they would get the same reaction too. it's not a ps3 thing, it's mostly to do with sce's pr.

the same reason you don't have a wife and two kids, its the way god wants it
