People still hating the WiiU, but that console still have the best amount of exclusives of the gen. Time will put everyone in its place as usually.

I'm not sure how "time will put everyone in its place". If anything the WiiU will get even worse with time.

That's what they said about GC, WiiU has been a Deja Vu of that generation for me, with people looking at what it hadn't instad of what it had, but then time passed and many people started to remember what it had instead of what it hadn't.

Perhaps, I don't know, I enjoyed the GC but I wasn't online so I didn't know other peoples opinions at the time. But if WiiU games get ported to the NX like some think will happen it makes the WiiU's legacy less and less impactful.

A Sunshine/Galaxy esque Mario adventure, a Mario Party, Mario Strikers, F-Zero, Animal Crossing... these were my favorite gamecube games and they're no where to be seen on WiiU.

I've played all those games above several times over the past decade, when it comes to the WiiU I don't think there's any game I'll come back to years after it has finished...

Like really... there's games and GB,GBC,GBA,DS,3DS  Nes,Snes,N64,GC,Wii that I will still be playing and going back to for years... when it comes to the WiiU I  just don't see anything I will want to go back to.

I'll do, I finished 3D World like 3 times and I will finish it more times in the future for sure, is a wonderful game, Splatoon is my favourite game of the gen so of course I'll keep playing it, MK8 is still the best MK ever, so until is topped I'll be playing it, same with Smash Bros 4 wich is the most complete fighter I have ever seen. Then there's Bayonetta 2 which is a game with huge replayability and the best of its genre, there is also the definitive version on one of my favourite games ever Wind Waker, everytime I want to play it that's the version I want, and of course, I'll keep replaying Tropical Freeze for years as is one of the best 2D platformer ever created, a truly masterpiece of its genre that will never get old. Mario Maker is also a game I'll keep playing, then is Breath Of The Wild, people want to think is not a WiiU game just because is also on NX, but that's stupid, Breath of The Wild looks like the best thing of the gen and is a WiiU game, the "shitty" console is getting the most promising Nintendo game in ages.

The negativity around the console sometimes eclipse what it actually has to offer imo, I have been happy with my WiiU, I will have good memories of it and I believe once time passes and the negativity dissapears, it will be better remembered than many people think.

To each their own! I've already replayed Pikmin 3 twice, have already 1000+ hours in Splatoon, and Woolly World n Mario Kart 8 are definitely games I'm going to get nostalgic over in the future. Besides who cares about legacy, as long as you enjoyed it for it's time is what really matters.

Terrible...the Wii U NEEDED a game like Mario Sports Superstars, with HD graphics and reliable online. Not 11 a side football with a tiny 240p screen.

I own both a Wii U and a 3DS and I don't have a problem with these ports.

I've never had a problem with ports in general whether it has been on PS4, Vita, XB1, Wii U, 3DS, NX, etc. We know new games are coming anyway and it's not like main teams are wasting their talent and resources as the ports are often done by 3rd party studios like Tantalus Media, Bluepoint Games, Sumo Digital, Sanzaru Games, Armature Studio, Straight Right, etc.

I just think this shows that it would make sense for Nintendo to secure a shared library between their next handheld and home console. Wii U and 3DS already have many games that are more or less similar in gameplay and/or visual style.

Animal Crossing: Amibo Festival (Wii U) - Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS)
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Wii U) - Donkey Kong Country Returns (3DS)
Dr. Luigi (Wii U) - Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (3DS)
Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) - Hyrule Warriors: Legends (3DS)
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U) - Kirby: Planet Robobot/Triple Deluxe (3DS)
Lego City Undercover (Wii U) - Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins (3DS)
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Wii U) - Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (3DS)
Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) - Mario Kart 7 (3DS)
Mario Party 10 (Wii U) - Mario Parti: Island Tour/Star Rush (3DS)
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U) - Mario Tennis Open (3DS)
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars (Wii U) - Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars (3DS)
NES Remix (Wii U) - NES Remix (3DS)
New Super Mario Bros. U (Wii U) - New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS)
Paper Mario: Color Splash (Wii U) - Paper Mario: Sticker Star (3DS)
Pikmin 3 (Wii U) - Pikmin (3DS)
Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U) - Pokémon Rumble Blast/World (3DS)
Star Fox Zero (Wii U) - Star Fox 64 (3DS)
Super Mario 3D World (Wii U) - Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)
Super Mario Maker (Wii U) - Super Mario Maker (3DS)
Super Smash Bros. (Wii U) - Super Smash Bros. (3DS)
Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U) - Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World (3DS)

I hope that I can port all the games I've bought on the E-Shop to the new console. That would be a forgiving gesture.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

Nintendo spent WAY too many resources on the Wii U. Very few people bought it, and most of those haven't really been buying games anyway. While I am a Wii U owner, I was really disappointed that Nintendo bowed down to the annoying children with entitlement issues.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

"How do you feel Nintendo has treated their Wii U supporters?"

Metroid fans in Japan are really happy about Metroid - Federation force.
Thats why its first week it sold 4,286 units of the game!

So if something sells bad the solution is to not try and get more people to buy it?

I dont get this logic... or maybe Im just missing the sarcasm or whatever.

WAY to many resources? what?

Remember when the Nintendo president said that the Wii U customers weren't going to be abandoned? Good times. They are selling it here for £249. Which is exactly the same price as the new Xbox One. Really Nintendo? What's going to happen to the NX? Will they ditch it once it doesn't hit 10 million units on the first week?
