Good to see Xbox One S and PS4 kicking ass and not only just Ps4, we need Xbox to remain competitive in the market so Microsoft keeps making games because the day Microsoft leaves this industry and Sony stays alone is the day is give up because we all know what happens when Sony is on top (See PS3) or Microsoft is on "Top" (See Xbox One reveal).

Truth is we need both kicking ass and fighting neck and neck because if they don´t the future of Console gaming will be shit.

PS1 - Sony was on Top

PS2 - Sony was on Top

PS4 - Sony is on Top

Microsoft has never lead a generation and Sony wasn't ever on top with the PS3.

They were on top leading to Ps3 annoouncment and that´s why it was bad, terrible, unbeliavably terrible.

Uh oh. Nobody seems to like the ps4 slim. It is kinda underwhelming. I think alot of people think the Xbox one s is something more than it is. Even my wife that could care less about games said "have you seen the new Xbox console?" I think she was thinking it was more like a entirely new generation. I have heard a few friends that don't know much about consoles talk about it. I think some people believe it's more powerful than ps4. Microsoft did a better job on their slim than Sony.

I think you are perhaps misreading it... the slim isnt doing bad, its just that the Pro is going to be imho the new core machine, and the slim will have less sales. But thats actually good for sony because the pro costs more money which means more revenue. They'll be able to do fantastic deals on the slim on black friday and xmas and thats when slim sales will show up.

Slim is going to outsell the Pro by a big margin, 249e on black friday plus holidays will be huge and that´s when pricepoint matters most.

It would seem that the ps4 pro pre orders are tracking about the same as what the Xbox One S 2tb was before the actual release date, More interesting, the $299 Xbox One slim is so soon now ahead of the $299 ps4. Perhaps all in all the X1s is finally and ultimately being seen as the better value option with its 4k blue ray player. Hmmm very interesting.

It's actually tracking much better. XB1 S was #18 in it's first month pre-orders. PS4 Pro is currently at #2. It's also releasing in a much more active part of the year so it's pretty likely it will put up much bigger numbers.

Oh I have no doubt that in the core sales period slim will sell more, but for the next month or so, I can actually see more people being pushed towards the pro, considering its the same price as what the PS4 launched at.

Wait why did you skip the part where they were on top leading to the PS2 announcement????

Seems the PS4 Black Ops bundle is now "Exclusive for prime members" ... lol

That would mean they don't have many left?

Yea probably will see it gone by end of the weekend so the slim should start picking up all the sales and movingup the charts now.

Makes me sigh everytime I see Amazon do the "Exclusive for Prime members"

Not sure why some are getting so excited by a few hours results when the PS4 COD and PS4 S were ahead of XBO for a few days, which won't show in the monthlies, yet. And even if MS wins Sept and Oct, how much will it be by? Another 10K each, similar to August? In Nov Sony's going to wipe that all away and then some.

You mean similar to July :p August was +100k

Btw, if you guys missed it, September NPD prediction thread is up!

LOL, yea.  Thanks for pointing that out.  I'll fix it.

Bo3 was a very powerful seller at both $349 and $299. COD is the perfect fit for the US. I presume they'll do a COD infinite + COD4 bundle.

COD bundle will become the standard bundle each year. It just works great and brings in the crowd that are not really commited to any console brand and generally stick with playing the big anual franchises, It's also great value for poeple who don't care about COD or lovers of Japanese games as the COD games always keep a good price after launch and can easily be sold giving you a cheap console.

The price was PS3's major problem. Was the PS3 avaliable for 600US$ by 3 full years ?
