Pikmin 4 is the only one that would seem interesting to me since the other games I want I can either already play on Wii U or get it on PS4. That being said, I'm not going to buy a console at launch just for one game I want.

I'll buy it regardless of launch games, but if it launches with those games it'll be even better. I would buy just the first five games from that list though, the rest doesn't interest me at all.

Well.. NG was a rerelease of a broken game. Not sure I would even count that but sure, lets do even if it was a timed exclusive. Still another meh game to the list. And those games you mentioned certainly werent released shortly after. Why would we take those in to consideration? 

Sure they were (both released first year), and they didn't help Wii U sales. And now it looks as if Pikmin either is a game we can take off the list or at least isn't exclusive. So even less of a reason now.

#2 alone would get me on board, 3-5 and 10 would be nice additions. Don't really care about Mass Effect or Just Dance. Substitute Dragon Quest XI for Mass Effect, however, and that plus Zelda would make it a must buy.

I rarely buy systems at launch (PS4 was rare exception) so I say no, but will admit a great BG&E2 exclusive to any system would make it tough to pass on indefinitely.

We arent really talking first year though, but launch title. It's a huge stretch calling games released 9 and 11 months after reveal launch titles. So let's not. Launch titles / launch window / first year.

Three really different things.

Zelda will make me buy a NX alone but I do expect that I will want 2 to 3 other titles at launch as well. That is what happened with Wii and WiiU.

But why even bring them up? they arent launch titles which is what is being discussed in the thread. And I wish I would share your definition of shortly, that would make the NX be released... very shortly? :P

Would you say we have a long time till NX' s released? Lol. If it does release in March I would say it is releasing shortly. I don't consider 6 months to be a very long time, especially when I'm used to year long + delays.

Point is the launch titles for NX isn't all that better than Wii U, if someone would consider it better at all.
