Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you have a game that might be your game of the generation yet?

For now, Dark Souls III.

Having a hard time with this question. I'm trying to think of a game that had a major impact on the industry or set the tone early on...

Destiny? The game disappointed early on in a generation that has been pockmarked with disappointment. Also, it featured a major developer Bungie developing a title for a Sony platform. Certainly a major development.

My favorites so far:

Contrast, Apotheon, Valient Hearts, Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation, Witcher 3 and Outlast. These games stuck with me after.

I am having a hard time deciding but I think this thread is very interesting.

Going forward I'm interested in Gears, Zelda, Horizon and Detroit among others.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Marco....

Yup, Splatoon. It's the game of the 8th generation for me anyway.

Hard question.

I'm tempted to say The Talos Principle.

I would say Lineage 2 , starting to feel nostalgia

Bloodborne for AAA and Alienation for smaller digital only title.

Fire Emblem Awakening is the only one I think I'd throw up there for GotG thus far.

Uncharted 4 easy, second a tie between MGSV and The Witcher 3 (if I have to choose one,MGSV,probably the best gameplay this Gen)

Most definitely Uncharted 4.
