Forums - Gaming - Which do you prefer the most: 1st Person or 3rd Person games?

I don't really care, whatever suits a certain game. There's first- and third person games all over my personal favorites list.

However, there's more third person games in there, and overall higher up. Though there are probably more third person games out there, I do like the fact that in a third person game you see the character. Gives it a little more personality I'd say, so I guess if I had to pick; third person.

This one is easy for me to choose, 3rd person

Most first person games are shooters, and while that's ok, I prefer games with more things to do besides shooting, something that's easier to get with third person games.

So, third person for me.

Yeah, but think games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Would you prefer them in 3d person (with an actually good 3d person feature available)?

In the past I prefered 1st person, today 3d person.

I'm not really a fan of Bethesda games, so it doesn't matter to me.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I prefer 3rd person since I get dizzy easily, though there are exceptions

Can't watch other people playing 1st person games for more than a few minutes at a time so I can't really watch the gameplay trailers of those games anyways :p

Sometimes, I do wonder how a 1st person fighting game would look like. Not the adventure game ones or something like Mirror's Edge, but more so something similar to Virtua Fighter, Tekken, Street Fighter or a strictly based martial arts game, in general. With VR I can imagine it would be even more cooler.

Use to hate first person. Now I don't really care. Still prefer third person more in certain genres.

No preference as it's down to the game itself.

As long as the game is good, I don't care either way.

Fixed camera 3rd person

Lube Me Up

I hate FPS and Third Person shooters. I like 3rd Person RPGs and action games so I guess 3rd person. I like Portal though (and Talos Principle).
