Forums - Gaming - Which do you prefer the most: 1st Person or 3rd Person games?

Around both equally. When I play games like Fallout, I generally go 50% each way (depending on the situation).

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Seeing as most first-person games are shooters and I really don't like that genre, third-person for sure.

Why not both ?

I mean I like both but when it comes down to preference, I'm sure we all cling to one more than the other. :)

I've grown to prefer first person overall. It's more precise and more immersive. Plus, anything where I have to wrestle with my own movements AND a camera is an automatic turn-off. If there is anything about advancing technology relative to gaming that I'm most happy about, it's that FPP has improved immeasurably.

I play only a bit of FP (fallout/skyrim/Deus ex, wich also have 3rd person angles/cameras), but definitly 3rd person is my favorite.

It depends on the game, but most of the time I prefer third person.

Depends on the game.

For example, first person games generally don't play well with cover mechanics.

I prefer first. Third is fine most of the time, but sometimes the person is too damn close to the camera and annoys me.

Most first person games are shooters, and while that's ok, I prefer games with more things to do besides shooting, something that's easier to get with third person games.

So, third person for me.

Please excuse my bad English.

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

That doesn't really matter to me. I enjoy a game regardless if it's 1st person or 3rd person.
