You think it's gonna be a big pile of shit yet the scores are inaccurate? 

I think that even if it was good for what it is the scores would be probably low anyways, this is not the kind of thing western critics are gonna enjoy or recomend, this is for FF fans and is incomplete without playing XV. But that said, I expect the movie to be bad just as I expect the game to be average, but I can be wrong.

I wouldn't refer to it as a cash grab. More that SE are not good filmakers but it fulfils a niche that Final Fantasy fans may enjoy. Like I'm a big FF fan but I'm also a huge film fan. I appreciate Something like FFVII Advent Children but I also recognise that its a pile of steaming shit. I imagine this is how Dynasty Warriors' fans feel.

They only made that movie because they couldn't fit it in the game. A 100 GB+ game would be very proihibitive by today's standards.

There are videogame films which could not adapt very well for today's reviewers standards, but could still be enjoyable for franchise fans. I found Warcraft movie really enjoyable, but it was still bashed by reviewers.
