These games were met will lukewarm reviews, disappointed fans and failed to live up to the hype. Will they rise from the mud and become household names or fade into oblivion?

The Order and Quantum Break come to mind. The Order had an amazing setting and atmosphere but was severely lacking in substance, pacing and innovation.

The sequel to Lords of the Fallen, which was written off as a poor Dark Souls clone, while being a beautiful game with excellent combat and atmosphere.

Out of the list in the OP, wow I hate all those games except for Battelfront Star Wars a little bit (but only because it's Star Wars and looks so damn good). Such toxic games to the industry due to their cynical nature of trying to tie players to a superficial online world and endless grind, and in some cases even feed on fools with microtransactions.

The Order 1886.

Everything about the game was great; characters, storyline, villains etc. The only downfall is the linear gameplay and game length. It'd be an amazing game if they had a chance to make a sequel since they know what to fix from the original.

well, lets go through this logically. from what ive seen, once a multiplayer shooter has gone bad it doesnt recover. so lets go through that list and cross out those ones. that leaves us with the following-

Watchdogs 2
Titanfall 2
The Order: 2886

Watchdogs 2 has the potential to be good, and really the original wasnt a bad game, it was just watered down so much in terms of visuals. i think if they did make a Watchdogs 2 they would able to make it more in their previous vision. of course, considering Ubisoft at this point i dont know what the final product would look like or if anybody would have any faith. but the potential is there

was Titanfall even a bad game? i know it kind of died down after a week but nothing about it was really that bad. and i guess from what ive heard they are putting a single player campaign into it so basically- good got this is just going to be Infinite Warfare... well, maybe under a different name it might get a better response...

The Order: 1886 was a one time deal... honesty they could have just made it a movie and i dont see the need for a sequel.

so, i guess i have to put my money on Titanfall 2

The Division was critically acclaimed

and Destiny kinda redeemed ifself with The Taken' King

I'm hoping Watch Dogs 2 will be the Assassin's Creed 2 of its franchise, but we'll have to wait and see.

The Order does have the biggest opportunity for improvement, but it doesn't seem to be happening. :(

Titanfall wasnt met with lukewarm reviews?

I thought the OP meant Redemption as a subtitle. Metroid Prime : Redemption has nice ring to it. :P

Personally - I think the new Sonic Boom game is really going to jump out and surprise people in good way. I really mean it.

From OP's list - I picked Titanfall 2.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
