Forums - Gaming - PS3/PSV Title "Steins;Gate" coming to PC via Steam in September (iOS version to come out in September as well)

It's supposed to be quite good, or so I've heard, so this is good news.

My #1 favourite Vita game. It's sublime. Buy this, Steamfolk.

Its great, most vita games are getting PC ports it seems, which is great because more people get to play them!

About time. looking forward to this.

Steins Gate is definitely my favorite anime of the last 10 years, and to think it started life as a 360 visual novel!

Now they just need to give the series a proper bluray treatment in the UK. The current release is crap.

Awesome to see it finally getting a Steam release, guess I will finally getting around to playing it after all. The anime was amazing... and now I have Hacking to the Gate stuck in my head

The anime was pretty good, kept me interested all the way though, but didnt have that strong a finish.
Still if this game is anything like the anime, it ll at the very least keep you really intrested in the story line, which is probably the most important thing in a visual novel type game.

Would it be better I wait till I play this game before watching the anime or the other way around?

Play the game then watch the anime. These are very long games, so after watching the anime the game's intro will be a pain in the ass.

Play the game first.  Also don't give up during the first ~ 4 hours because it's slow to begin with, but as soon as it starts moving it's unbelivable.

(My avatar is from the game, I love it so much).

The game's ending is a lot stronger IMO. Because you have several bad endings to do in order to unlock the true ending, and you're really in Okabe's head (and for much longer), so it really has more impact.

Mate of mine always liked the anime, he'll likely be going for this too. I should probably give the anime a gander sometime myself.
