Still trying to find that planet that they initially showed

Well that just killed my hype. Like, the hype that was left post-release. It just died now.

I mean, it's a funny video but it is also rather disingenuous.  It's true there are baren and weird planets and not EVERY one is a Jurassic Park style paradise.  But there are a lot of genuinely beautiful, lush planets.  I am in a system right now with two really beautiful ones, one of which has these enormous dragon-type things.  Another is like an alien Eden but unfortunately has the most pissy security Sentinels I've encountered.

For example, this is a planet some dude found while playing:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9iN6T0v__8

Maybe you should just make an "I hate NMS" mega-thread? You can collect all the negative articles and reviews you can find in that one place and save yourself some work.

We had so many more 'HYPE' no man sky threads that all or most could have been in one thread. Just ignore or chill ^^

Not nearly as savage as this one I came across an hour ago

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

It's a 6/10 game, can't give it anymore although I have played it over twice as long as Uncharted 4 already and am much more invested in it. But true, I'm discovering more glitches than interesting planets... and over 2 dozen crashes and freezes already. Makes Fallout New Vegas look like the poster child of stability. At least it still runs marginally better than Skyrim on ps3 did :/

Maybe I'm a bit more forgiving because I avoided most of the hype and all preview videos. This video is an eye opener to me, was he really promoting the game on tv shows? No wonder people are disappointed after all that.

wtf this site can't even play YT videos anymore? What a fucking joke.

Just more reason not to trust E3 hype trailers but I fear that's a lesson too many will never learn. That said, this creature at least gave me a laugh.

I had my hype dialed down to zero and I'm absolutely loving this game. The crashes are annoying, getting to a crappy planet is a bit boring, but the better parts of the game make up for it.

I think the £45-50 tag a is a bit steep this should have been a £30 release.

I've never paid much attention to this game, but at least now I know why it was hyped to begin with.

Pretty much... Looked like XCX type of environments with Elite Dangerous type of space adventure... Tried to have both but ended up being not as good as either of them.

Oh well... NEXT!

Another good analyses of the hype:

it's the review of a very big site, I'm not even posting my opinion here, so you know... chill pill.

Chill pill?  What are you talking about?  Just a suggestion to help you on your mission.  I'm not the one making threads.
