Tell me please, which library is going to appeal more to the gamers??? The PS3 one or the Wii one???
Remember the market is not full of "hardcore gamers"...
Twice as many isn't dominant when the total number of consoles sold this generation are still in low double digits. Talk to me when the Wii is at 120 million and the ps3 is at 25 million and I will say the Wii is dominant.
Omg now the wii is going to get a $249.99 dollar price drop. Also wasn't the price drop 100. The more gb model is 500 from 600 , and the lower model is 400 from 500 I don't see any 200 dollar price drop.

There you go again with "hardcore gamers". There are really only two types of gamers. People that play video games and people that try to play games. Grandma's, soccer moms, etc, play Wii games because they are easy, and are fun. But people who play games play fun games with some strategy and some required skill. Even if that skill is button mashing.

That's where I stopped.
Let's see, at launch PS3 had two sku's.
1. 20GB @ $500
2. 60gb @ $600
Now, PS3 has two sku's
1. 40GB @ $400
2. 80GB @ $500
hmmmmm.....I see a $100 effective price drop in a year.
Now, consider the PS2. Started @$300. In 8 years has only gone down to $130. That's approximately a 57% reduction in price after about 7 years(when the last price drop of $20 was).
You really think they are going to reduce the price of the PS3 by 60% in two years? hahahaha. The first drop was done out of neccesity to help the poor sales. It is selling pretty well now. In fact, it is now selling pretty close to PS2 levels. (Now, they can be compared since the PS2 at this point was in all regions).
I would say Sony may drop price again later in summer, but not by another $100. More like $50.
You won't be seeing a $200 PS3 until 2010.
I give up. Anyone wanna buy my Wii? $500 dollars with 2 controllers (2x mote and 2x chuck) SMG, Metroid Prime 3, RE4, and Wii Sports. Just let me finish those real games and I'll be ready so sell.

You do understand you are comparing consoles percentage wise.... when one of those consoles was 200% more at their release.
Basically you cant say "its only 57% reduction." because it is way easier to get a higher percent with larger numbers
