Well if you really want PS4 Neo than now its best time to sell your PS4 before it gets price cut.

Sure, if you desperately want to burn some money, go for it.

No need to get Neo if you already have a PS4. Maybe in 3 years when games actually make use of Neo in some way. The console will also be dirt cheap by then.

It packs a GPU that's almost 3X more powerful. There's now way it will be a minor upgrade like the n3DS. Of course, it could just run the games at the same way but in a resolution in the middle of the path between 1080p and 4K, so it would be only noticeable for 4K TV owners. But that's not a minor upgrade.

Regarding the thread, I don't think the Neo will drive the price of the OG model down. It will be priced way higher. However, they can cut the price (long due) of the current model or simply release a cheaper slim PS4, so that would impact the price.

The N3DS wasn't a minor upgrade tho. It doubled the CPU cores while clock speeds tripled, it packs double the amount of RAM and almost double the amount of video RAM. It's pretty significant actually.

Didn't knew it was so significant. However, weren't this upgrades more focused on better multitasking/OS performance?

Question to ask yourself?

#1 Am I planning on getting PSVR?
#2 Do I own a 4K TV?

If you answer no to both question above then you should refrain from selling your PS4.
