You know what, I've not even looked at that number at all >.< I didn't even know they have you a number!

Yeah everytime you warp closer to the center it gives you a total of miles you've traveled closer. I'm about 1.7m miles away and travel about 1700 miles closer per jump LOL.

I'll keep an eye on it now :)

I've read somewhere it's better to do up your warp drive and stack them as you will travel further without having to fix your ship. What warp drives do you have?

Finding species is a biaaaaaatch. So often I've managed to find all but the last one or two. I've searched in water, in the sky and caves and found nothing. It's incredibly annoying.

I really hope they patch the sol extreme planet trophy. There is no way I'm going to sit idle on any planet for 8-9 hours. They should have just kept it add a total time across all extreme planets. If that's the trophy that stops me plating the game, I'll be real pissed!

In that 8 hour extreme challenge, never found the last species on that planet. Make that 9 actually, I had to start over when it reset at 27 but I spend most of the recovery time in a shelter through remote play with upgraded life support system that last hours. I didn't want to walk around for another 8.

The zoology milestones are going to take more time than the rest combined. I don't know how many you need to complete yet it can't be less than 10. I'm at 2, both took over 2 hours to complete plus there were a bunch more planets I gave up on after a couple of hours. Perhaps the trick is to stand still and they'll spawn around you... I always end up over 60 minutes away from my ship.

You have far more patience than me. I've only completed one planet so far because I give up after 2-3 hours. As for the extreme planet thing, I won't bother unless it gets patched. The trophy makes no sense as you can sit in a cave that you make yourself. The trophy doesn't make you fight to survive.

How you finding the dog fights?

It's easy, because finding the animals is glitched, there's a glitch to avoid the pain. Find a planet with no animals on, go the the discovery screen (options button on PS4) and click on upload under where the list of animals would normally be. It should recognise that you have found all the animals because there are no anmials to find.

How you finding the dog fights?

Find an interesting planet for the challenge. It was still at the beginning of the game, so I was still busy finding suit / multi tool upgrades, blueprints and ofcourse monoliths, next to killing Sentinels and racking up the on foot distance. Might as well do it all on the same planet. Now I'm only interested in monoliths and manufacturing plants (still no v2 or v3 pass) since every upgrade is "already known" and my ship, suit and multi-tool are all maxed.

Dog fights are a fun distraction to blow off some steam after another "where is the last species" failure. It gets quite hectic when you graze the traders while fighting pirates and they start shooting you while calling in the sentinels. Kill all of them! The 5 star wanted level sentinel capital ship seemed bugged though, disappeared again after 20 seconds, twice. I need to try that again with the latest patch.

Quickest way to get a high wanted level is to shoot at the space station, or shoot incoming traffic on the way out. I've done that by accident plenty of times, mixing up the boost and fire button.

Why does this not surprise me.

After the dupe glitch, stacking gravitino balls glitch, sit in 'extreme' shelter glitch. I guess the exploits cancel out the pain from the random crashes. I'll keep trying the legitimate way, I've already cheated enough with my 66 million credit balance. But good to know there's a way out of possible insanity!

Btw did you find one of those v2 or v3 passes yet? What's behind those doors! Anything you don't already have by the time you finally find the keys?

Apparently you get v2 from Operation facilities. I've tried but it's draw of the luck. Wonder what goodness they are hiding behind those doors.

The last 3 planet I tried to do it legit but some of the animals I was finding didn't appear on the found list. I actually found all of them on 2 planets and it didn't register.

Are you sure it was a different species, not the "is a member of an already discovered species" message. The other gender or young sometimes show up as red dots as well. I was sure I had found them all too on one planet yet still an entry with ???????

I gave up on that icy planet. After a battle with the huge biped the battle music kept looping forever, wanted level not going down anymore, but also no more sentinels showing up. After another half hour I had enough, luckily I quickly found a place to call the ship and get off that rock.

To blow off steam I made the capital sentinel ship spawn to see if I could take it down now with 1.05. I've no clue what the point of that ship is. You can take out the canons with strafing runs and zip back in one of its massive blindspots to refuel the shields. I had one cannon left to go and the ship vanished again grrr. It doesn't look like you can damage the main ship anyway, seems rather unfinished.

Instead I reconfigured my hyperdrive arrangement, most expensive one bordered by the other 3, and my jump limit is now between 1670 and 1677 light years. (couldn't find stars in between that range for exact measurement) Since I'm 176k from the core, in theory it would 'only' be 106 jumps. I jumped between a few O stars, didn't find anything interesting until this planet.

Looks friendly enough, fauna high, I'll give the hunt another attempt tomorrow.

Btw star ship scan -> resource deposit, most useless scan result in the game. How do you cancel those waypoints. They stay up even though I'm landed on a different planet! (see screenshot)

What is the solar system class for that planet?
