Forums - Sony - PSNow Coming To PC (RUMOUR)

I feel this move is already overdue and hopefully it can help to further establish the service as a viable method to play console games without having to purchase one, as there are many people that won't buy one for just a handful of interesting games - with PSNow they could have the opportunity to legally enjoy those games anyway

and it wouldn't surprise me if they began adding (launch year) PS4 games to the services as early as next year

Lol! Soon they'll be doing PS4 or PS5 games on it as well. The only company left and probably last to do it is Nintendo. I mean, it's a great decision all considered. There are more PCs than there is 7th gen and 8th gen hardware combined and then some. As moderately powerful PCs become more affordable, which we're on the cusp of, PC is gonna be unstoppable. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't game on PC at all. The PC Master Race is reaching 100% completion!

It's reaching 100% completion because you can now get psnow and stream ps3 games on your pc with a subscription without any positive sideeffects a pc has to offer and with more input lag and without the game running better than on a regular ps3? Doesn't soundlike a master race.

Smart move by Sony to get even more people to buy a PS4.

This is to get PC users playing older PS2 & PS3 games right? to get them hooked on titles, and make them want to invest in a PS4 to play the follow ups to those older games?

So sorta on topic sorta not. Is PSnow worth the money? I don't have a ps3 so most of the games would be new to me.

If most games will be new to you then it definitely is providing you have a somewhat decent Internet connection.

Gaming.as.a.service.

Get used to it.

Of course.

The move to PC was expected as soon as Sony bought Gaikai (and it became later Playstation Now). This is basically the PS5 or PS6 beta test, it seems to go smoothly until now if they're taking the next step.

Makes sense. Sony wants to make PS Now available on as many platforms as possible and the PC is the biggest platform.

I think the "service" will always stay 1 gen behinde.

When PS5 launches, maybe PSnow will be able to play PS4 games.

Compared to other PC mediums like steam or origin this is 100% Sony controlled medium. They will be getting 100% cash. And there will be no master race thingy because PC gamers will just be streaming data which will be dictated by Sony like console versions. So no 60 fps or 4K. Pretty much console in a PC.

Sony will be stupid not too. There is so much potential outside the console market. Money is money. PC gaming is becoming the all in one gaming platform i saw coming years ago. They were right, the best combo will be PC and Nintendo
