Forums - Nintendo - I really don't like the new computer AI in Brawl.

I have noticed that too, right when the game came out I played vs 3 level 9 comps since I couldn't get online (dial up) and had no friends. :( They just pwn you again and again and again. I thought I was just sucking, but realized later that this was not the case. Also, they're really (almost too good) good at dodging and even edge hogging. So I try not to play vs. comps anymore.

I've also noticed another bug (I guess) where if you hold down A, some characters will simply do their attacks again and again and again. I know a few characters are suppose to work this way, or at least I believe are suppose to work this way. Kirby is one that I know of. But there are a few that I dont think are suppose to do it, but do anyway (and the way they look while doing seem to point to this conclusion). Snake is one I believe. Hold down A and he just punches, but he looks sorta funny while doing so. I was going to make a thread about it but decided this is a good place to bring it up. My roommate was the one (along with another hardcore Brawl player) that initially noticed it.

It looks funny, but the game is designed to continue punching if you just hold down A.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Also, in Melee, I don't think "everyone was equal." I believe the comps target the winning player. Which I thought was smart because that's what we do as humans, target the winner (otherwise... they'll win).

@Ben - but not all characters do. Some characters will only do one attack if you press and hold A, while some will continue doing the attack. And some characters only continue doing their A attack if they hit someone, then to go into a combo, which you can hold down A to do, like Ike's for instance, but he won't do the combo by holding down A unless he hits someone.

Edit: I'm not saying it's a bug, I guess. It just seems like the way some characters look while holding down A lead me to believe they shouldn't be able to do that. And since not all characters have a "hold down A" continuous attack... but well, it's a pretty hard bug to miss, which was the argument I used with my roommate. I thought I'd bring it up here to see what other people had to say.

that really would take the fun out of single player. at least you still have online and versus your friends

Imitating humans should ALWAYS attack those nearest to them though...because any NORMAL fighter would attack someone who's standing right next to them.

What this is isn't a free-for-all match, it's 3 guys ganging up on 1. Which just gets lame really fast.

Yeah, I have also noticed this. Whenever the computer opponents would get either a smash ball or the dragoon item, they would always target me even if I am the farthest away.
