And I really hope that if this game tanks, they don't take it as a sign that people don't want more Metroid...

"Metroid?"

"Yeah, that one. How about we make one for the 3DS, where you play as the grunts, in team-based missions, with a chibi art style that makes it look like a low budget N64 power rangers game?"

Next Level Games liked their partnership with Nintendo because each time they got to work on a more interesting IP than the previous one. Eventually they wanted to make a Metroid game and showed NIntendo some concept art; this really happened, we've seen the concept art and it wasn't good. Nintendo thought the same way, but NLG insisted that they'd really like to make a Metroid game next, so Nintendo considered a compromise. NLG got to make a Metroid game, but it wouldn't be Metroid 5, Metroid Prime 4 and of course not Other M 2. Instead it was going to be a sequel to Metroid Prime Hunters and NLG was fine with that because they wanted to work on a Metroid game so bad.

I WISH this was Hunters 2.

Ditto. Hunters looks like Prime 1 compared to this.

The DS game wasn't good though. And especially you, curl-6, wouldn't like it anyway if the 3DS got a worthy Metroid game because you hate the 3DS so much. So you should be happy that Federation Force is what it is, because you won't feel like you are missing out on something.

I don't deny that I do see handhelds as inferior to consoles, but I also own a 3DS.

They are calling this a story trailer? I had to check the YouTube account to determine whether it was prank or not. Nintendo is now busy deceiving people.
