Nintendo thought the same way, but NLG insisted that they'd really like to make a Metroid game next, so Nintendo considered a compromise. NLG got to make a Metroid game, but it wouldn't be Metroid 5, Metroid Prime 4 and of course not Other M 2. Instead it was going to be a sequel to Metroid Prime Hunters and NLG was fine with that because they wanted to work on a Metroid game so bad. |
