Forums - Nintendo - Bethesda Doesn't Rule Out Nintendo NX Support, But "It's Too Early to Say"

Cool.

Here is a list of game they've developed internally for Nintendo so far:

Honestly, I took that to mean they need to see the final specs. The devs have dev kits, which are probably not final hardware. If the final hardware has an X2, it might be a possibility.

The other side, of course, is if the market is going to like it and buy it.

How do they not know final specs? This thing launches in a few months time. I think they know the specs, and decided not to support right now, this is just a nicer way of saying no.

All major third parties should be briefed on the system and have functioning kits by now.

Why do companies even bother making these statements lol

Must be a slow news day.

Because tonnes of people click on any news regarding the NX. Thats how Hype people are in getting any info about it.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Before anyone puts any hope in this, allow me to list for you the Nintendo consoles BethSoft has supported post NES:

Really? Because their best efford on a Nintendo system is                              on the DS. Such a fun game.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Even naughty dog didn't know the final specs of PS4 before in May before launch.  They thought it was getting 4 gigs of RAM. They use PC's to design games, and the dev kits just aproximate the architecture.  It wouldn't be surprising at all for Nintendo to be holding back the final GPU, RAM or other qualities.

Fallout 4 looks and feels like a early 7th gen game so NX should have no issues running it, but knowing Bethesda they would fuck it up somehow so no thank you

They politely refused like other big third party developers. It's expected after the treatment Nintendo gave them with Wii U. More will follow this.

Sony did change the RAM in the PS4 late, but the general performance envelope was pretty much the same and they were able to obviously work on games.

This sounds like either Bethesda has no idea what the performance envelope for the NX is, which is pretty insane for a system 8 months away from launching, or they know full well and this is a nice way of saying "no thanks" while leaving the door open.
