Anyone else enjoying the Judo? I watched it properly for the first time during the Beijing Olympics with only the basic knowledge of the rules but since then at any games I've always watched it and it's became one of my favourite events.

Apparently the average for a WR in swimmming is around 2.7 years, where in Athletics it's 4.2 years , in swimming some WR are literaly set in the heats and broken a day later in the final, or in rare cases the next heat shortening the average.

The Chinese divers were absolute monsters yesterday, they destroyed EVERYONE, even Tania Cagnotto who is known to be one of the best divers in the world with her partner ended up something like 40 points behind the chinese Athletes !
First two golds last night in a matter of like 30 minutes for Italy in Judo and Fencing (both expected). It's really surprising to me that our female athletes still haven't won any golds...
What a fall for the dutch cyclist who was in the lead of the race, seems that section of the course is particularly dangerous since it's the same one where Nibali and the other guy fell the previous day.
Kudos to the Korean archers who won by a mile against Russia !

It truely is one of their specialist sports. Sometimes you wonder why everyone else bothers entering... kind like basketball and the USA.

At least this were the last Olympic games for the best of the two Chinese athletes, she won 5 consecutive Olympic games, I don't see her partecipating in 2020, maybe then there will be someone capable of topping China...

Our swimming's not going very well this Olympics it seems. At least we have two boxers advancing a round for the first time in decades. Also a great win on Women's Road Cycling yesterday!

The medal table in OP is wrong by the way, Netherlands has a Gold, not a Bronze.

The table I copied wasn't displaying properly when I submitted, replaced with a different one. I need to find a better one to copy and paste, the google one doesn't delete properly when I need to replace it and the wiki one doesn't compile correctly.... and I'm too lazy to make my own. :P
