Two games I was really looking forward to with the launch of the PS4 and we haven't heard shit about either of them since and probably never will. What do you guys think?

I will wait until PSE until fully putting Rime in the RIP section. Deep down certainly seems like its in some Deep shit yar.

Deep Down may or may not be dead. The last update we got in 2015 indicated that they were probably starting the game from scratch and we would be lucky to see anything more about it before 2017. Odds are it's in development hell.

With Rime, I don't think it's that the game isn't coming. Apparently the developer, Tequila Works, even tweeted back in March that they had acquired the rights for the game from Sony, which means development has probably extended with intent to go multiplatform like with their first game, Deadlight. Size and scope can really be a detriment to an indie studio, especially one like this where it sounds like they may have sacrificed funding from Sony to avoid being stuck in an exclusivity contract.

I wouldn't say that either are totally gone, but I would expect them to randomly reemerge probably about a year from now as completely reimagined projects.

Sony isn't helping with Rime anymore so don't care about that. And I don't think Deep Down is dead, they're just changing the game heavily.

If we are to belive rumors, Rime is vaporware. It never existed. So, yes, its safe to say it won't exist in the form seen in that trailer.

Deep down is probably getting reworked into a new Dragons dogma or something. It made no sense to have another game competing with their own IP.

I'd find it weird if deep down died out. I demoed it a few years ago and it played pretty great, and had English too. I wonder what ever happened to that game...

Watch it be FFXV and The Last Guardian all over again. Wait for the PS5.
