I wonder if they're gonna give King Kong some powers to let him fight Godzilla more evenly... |
That would be preferable in my view to nerfing Godzilla.
Should they expand Kong? | |||

Hes too big... they would be able to see that sucker from outta space.
If any creatures walked the earth that big, man would have long since known of them.
The intire premise is that king kong could hide out in the jungle on some remote never explored part of the world, which means creatures like him could exisit out there.
That goes away when you make him tall as a sky scraper.

It's entirely possible, since that's what Toho did.

This is set during the Vietnam War, no way anyone had scanners that good during the 60s. Besides, this is set in the Godzilla-Kong universe. He has to be that big.

Or better yet, have them end up having to join forces against a greater foe. King Ghidorah perhaps? :P
Maybe Kong got hold of some steroids and AGH? He could do the full cycle thing, like MMA guys.

While Jackson's Kong had some great scenes, to me it ultimately felt like a 2 hour film stretched out to 3 hours with unnecessary filler. I feel like after his success with LoTR his editor was too afraid to say no to him when it became to indulging his excesses.

It wasn't a Giant Monster movie. It was a drama that happened to have a really large ape in it. Kong was almost secondary. Peter Jackson was the star.
I'm not saying that it was bad, just that it was in a different category. I liked it when I first watched it but, holy cats, there is no way I could sit through it again. It's more like Titanic than classic Kaiju cinema.

I was not expecting this to be all that good but the trailer made me a lot more hopeful. I will watch it when it comes out. After all this is the first King Kong movie that is not a remake since the 60s I believe.
Edit: There was that abomination called King Kong Lives..... Nah no King Kong movie since the 60s.

Pretty much, yeah. I love some parts of it, but man, so... much... filler...

How the heck is he gonna fight something 3 times taller than him? Oh, and Samuel L. Jackson was perfect in his role. Kinda reminded me of his role in Tarzan. I wonder if someone will make an Avengers joke... |
That's a really small 100 feet if he's confirmed AR 100 feet. His bloody hand print was probably around 40-50 feet!
