It's amusing to see this getting such a negative reception.

People are more critical of free stuff than what they actually pay for these days XD

Federation Force isn't free though, as far as I know.

No, thanks; I don't want a virus in my 3DS.

I swear, it's a joke, I don't even have a 3DS :(

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Forget the Metroid branding, has anybody considered that Federation force might be a decent, fun co-op online shooter. I think Nintendo should have not used the metroid name and marketed this as a new IP simply called Federation force. Perhaps more people would have given it a chance.

Nothing wrong with the Metroid branding; I think it is a very nice addition to the Metroid franchise.
The game looks awesome and I can see a lot of fun with 4 players.

This mini game is though. And this thread general response is basically... Nope! Lol

The majority of people who say Federation Force is a good addition to Metroid are the same people who advocate for Other M being the same. Nothing personal dvl, just something I've noticed.

As I said countless times the problem of Federation Force is its platform, if Federation Force came out on Wii U with HD graphics and non chibi artstyle (which, would be the case given what Tanabe said today in the video) it'd be just like any ordinary sci-fi shooting game and fans of the series would be pleased with it.
