Forums - Gaming - We need another X-Men game.

Honestly I would enjoy an open world one where you play as an unknown Mutant (with a choice of abilities at the start) that becomes a member of the X-men later in the story. I don't feel like that their is a particular X-men I want to be and if the game has a mandatory choice people will be hating on it (again Wolverine, eww cyclops, Beast is boring, Storm..Why do I play as a Lady, etc...)..

I said join the X-men but an option to join the Brotherhood would be nice aswell...

This is also a good idea. They attempted this with X-Men Destiny but because that game sucked the potential wasn't realized. I would say dump the choosing ability part  and just let powers be like collectables that you can assign to your character. Collect different X genes with different abilitites

I actually loved the Xmen Legends games, as well as the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance (not so much the second). Would very much welcome another game of that sort.

Just generally speaking I think it's a shame Marvel don't seem to have a particular interest in AAA games these days. They have so many properties that would make for great games

Yeah, I enjoyed those games as well. Which is probably why I should play Marvel Heroes 2016 on Steam, but I haven't bothered.

Marvel/Disney appears to have no interest in making big budget games. But I'm surprised no other studio wants to make them either. Sony is the only company I see going for it.

the wolverine game was really cool!

It had some boring moments, but arguably one of the best Marvel games ever.

That PS2 Wolverine game was horrible. Logan looked like a monster in that

X-Men 1 & 2 from Sega Genesis and X-Men Mutant Apocalypse were the best console story X-Men games I've played.

X-Men 2 was awesome. Cyclops was a beast in that game.

As long as it's not in top-down view or isometric or a RTS, I'm so down for another X-Men game.

something like this but with a better budget

Nice, that's a cool idea.  I don't want it cell shaded, but otherwise it looks like it would be fun.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Too bad, Activision does have rights and they don't make X-Men & other Marvel characters seriously anymore, just a cash grab nowadays.

So, here's my wish. Tecmo Koei should handle this with awesome studios, Team Ninja & Omega Force.

Save your question, i want boobies! fapfapfap!!

Just to clear this up, but that is actually not true. Activision lost the rights to Marvel character in 2014. They had all their Marvel games delisted from online stores, minus deadpool due to an agreement to ride the movie coattails, and removed from their site.
