Forums - Nintendo - Talking about anti Wii bias...

Check out this review. It grabs all the chances to bash the Wii as a gaming console. It's hilarious.

My favorite quote: "saying something is great “for a Wii game” is like saying someone is tall for a midget, or limber for an amputee – it’s not exactly high praise."

i dont bother reading that stuff...
theyre puprosly missing out on something great because theyre too stubborn to admit theyre wrong- not my loss.

Lmao. I'm not even going to comment. It's has good controls for a wii game? The wii only has 2 fps' with good controls, but these fps' in the controls aspects are better than any console fps other than the ones that utilize wasd+mouse.

First, he reviewed CoD 4... then he reviewed MoH.

These claims are wrong
- In the grand scheme of things, the controls aren’t all that great

These claims are quite true
- The graphics are extremely outdated
- The multiplayer options are also extremely outdated (even if they’re above and beyond what we’ve come to expect from Wii games)
- This would be a mediocre FPS in normal times, but it happens to come amidst a flood of other, far better FPS titles

His last statement:
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 is just too little, too late, and released at the worst time imaginable. It is a game that was quite frankly doomed to be forgotten.

That is also true. Heroes 2 has not even sold 200,000 worldwide.

That is correct, but he din't have to bash the wii and it's games along with it.

wii controls threaten the status quo for fps controls, anyone that has not given in is stuck in the past and will fight tooth and nail to prevent change
wii controls are leagues better than dual analog and significantly better than mouse keyboard,
I know a lot of people will say they aren't but that's only because of an existing bias in favor of the controls your used to.
Metal of honor:heroes 2's controls are insanely good but the game itself is only okay, but the only is fantastic due to the superior controls, and the second people stop fighting wii controls better fps' will come to the wii that are worthy of the control scheme (come on free radical timesplitters 4 on the ps3 or 360 is another drop in a bucket but on the wii you'll be king of the hill"
frankly my favorite defense against wii controls is from my brother
"wii controls are too good, all you have to do is point, xbox 360 is better because it's harder to aim!"
... since when are worse controls better

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

true but you have to realize he was having a shitty week AND he had to review a bunch of games in a row.

but yea, he was stupid when he said that the controls sucked.

Do we have another Wii Bingo article on our hands, then?

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

"flicking the remote to chuck grenades or shaking it to reload theoretically helps to bring players into the action, but considering that you’re also controlling your turning and aiming with that remote, it generally means you have to waste a few dangerous seconds after one of these maneuvers trying to line up the remote with the screen."

This part is true though, my friend says the same thing on NFS Pro Street where you have to flick the controller to change gears on manual transmission.

i havnt played ProStreet but i do have MoH Heroes 2.

The controls are amazing and if you have enough dexterity, it is not much of a problem to turn/ reload at the same time.
