Yes there definitely is some momentum in the PS3 sales in the US, but alot of the SDF were comparing the PS3 sales with 360 sales during February and were so sure it was the major factor, and dismissing the fact that there were shortages. If people were truly turning to the PS3 instead of the 360 then this bet wouldnt have been won.

I think he means that he doesn't want people to bet them, he wants bans to only be used as a punishment for poor behavior. Although I'm not really sure what we'll bet now.

Well, the practice of "ban bet" has been pretty a normal occurance within VGC community for ages. Tons of people have made ban bets and All accepted the result in a graceful manner. And all mods were okay with it... until now?

I wonder why the sudden "change of heart" in the part of VGC mod.

 

This just further adds mist in the credibility of bet itself.
