Serious question, why are they all dressed in black? Is black leather cool in Japan?

Why do they have to sell their game like it's some kind of action movie. That's certainly not what Final Fantasy is to me.

I was interested in this when it was a mafia-like power struggle of a royal family over their city. Became very disinterested when it became four pretty boys and their porsche and have been 'eh' towards it ever since.
This just doesn't grab me and it continues with the cover art.
