Yup, it does.

The issue is that the Japanese cover shows a more relaxed picture, while the American version shows them prepared to fight.

 

Personally, I think the Japanese one matches the tone of the game much more. That's me though. I'm sure someone else disagrees with me strongly

Not a fan, the Japanese cover looks much better, though that tends to be the case when it comes to Final Fantasy game covers.

I'm confused, why is it just not white with the logo like it should be? 

EDIT: I see the reverse cover has this. Good. It's weird how SquEnix think they need to promote the character of these games when its just Final Fantasy people want.

It's ok. But it's a little strange that they removed Amano's art from the logo. The japanese box looks much better overall.

But this is the one I'll get, which I prefer:

Most covers in general really, if not all. EU and JP get the best covers

Thank god there's the classic logo on the reversible part.

A lot of (great) box art is dumb if you insist to be tecnical.

 

OT: I would've liked to have that beautiful logo on the front like it is on the Japanese version but overall it's fine imo.
